What the talk is about

B2B sales cycles are getting longer. Where a month from first contact to order used to be enough, it now takes three months or even half a year. Dan Gridin is a Russian B2B marketing consultant known at home as "Dan the DHL guy", because for more than ten years he landed big customers with a DHL package containing a letter, champagne or an iPad. In this talk he shows how to build a working marketing automation system in 90 days without expensive software.

You'll learn why to start with a minimal viable system built on an ordinary autoresponder for about 100 euros a month and choose an expensive platform like Eloqua, Marketo or HubSpot only after three months of use. Dan explains how to define a marketing qualified lead, sort your content into three buying stages, connect autoresponders and landing pages to them, and measure marketing by MQLs rather than by the number of leads.
