What the talk is about
There are more than 5,000 Vietnamese corner shops in the Czech Republic, more than all the major retail chains combined. Czech popcorn maker Hopi Popi wanted its products in as many of them as possible, and David Duc's team was asked to double the brand's monthly order from Tamda, the country's biggest Vietnamese wholesaler. You'll learn how a campaign built around the owners' daughters and a community called the Šunka Sýr Army flopped at launch, switched to memes and songs, got fans walking into shops to ask for the ham-and-cheese flavour, and even turned a mid-campaign sell-out to its advantage. Duc closes with the results after two months.
