Brian Dean founded the SEO site Backlinko in 2012, where he popularised the Skyscraper Technique, and sold it to Semrush in 2022. He co-founded the trend-discovery tool Exploding Topics in 2019, which Semrush also acquired. He now lives in Portugal and still shares SEO case studies on YouTube.
