What the talk is about
Skinners are foldable footwear somewhere between a shoe and a sock, which the Chicago Tribune called a "shoe-sock fusion". Petr Procházka first raised more than $27,000 with them in a small Czech crowdfunding campaign, and a year later more than $654,000 on Kickstarter. In this talk he shows the preparation behind that result.
You'll learn why you need to get into the top 20 campaigns, what to do before launch and how the 3F rule and early bird prices help. Petr explains why you should hit your funding goal fast so Kickstarter notices you, how one $15 sample sent to a journalist at The Verge brought almost $33,000 in sales, and how paid ads with a ninefold return carried the end of the campaign.
