What the talk is about

If you only track your ranking, you don't see what the results page actually looks like. Dr. Peter Meyers of Moz runs MozCast, which tracks 10,000 Google searches every night and records how Google changes. For Marketing Festival 2014 he ran the same measurement for the UK, Poland and the Czech Republic for the first time and compared them with the US. He also came to Prague for his own roots: his great-grandfather was born in Bukovec in western Slovakia.

You'll learn how often sitelinks, images, news, videos, review stars, the Knowledge Graph and local results appear in each country, and why results for English and Czech keywords on Google.cz differ so much. Peter shows that only 20 % of searches still have plain ten blue links, how .cz domains do against .com, and how he could tell that the Pigeon update had not reached the Czech Republic yet. He closes with what Google is testing in the US and why Europe's time lag is an SEO advantage.
