What the talk is about

Lukasz Zelezny grew up so close to the Czech border that his family's TV picked up Czech television, and he and his sister watched Večerníček. Today he does SEO in London, and in this 2013 talk he offers two methods for evaluating SEO and explaining it to management. The first is the Pearson correlation between a keyword's ranking and the traffic it brings; the second is effective visits, meaning visits without a bounce.

You'll learn which keywords are worth pushing to page one and which won't pay off, why to compare traffic year over year instead of week by week, and how effective visits reveal growth even when total traffic falls. Lukasz closes with tools he recommends for rankings, backlinks, on-page optimisation and reporting.
