You don’t need a 3-D printer to build a prototype. We will practice the simple but effective prototyping techniques of doodling and visual storytelling as a way to make ideas happen in a complex organization.
Tom will use his cartoons to highlight some of what gets in the way of bringing ideas to life. We will practice how we share and build on each others’ ideas to make them stronger and give them a higher chance to succeed.
For 20 years, Tom Fishburne has chronicled the marketing industry in a weekly cartoon called Marketoonist. He draws (literally and figuratively) from his career in marketing and innovation in the US and Europe, including roles at HotelTonight, Method, General Mills, and Nestle. Along the way, he learned that some of the techniques from cartooning can make us better at innovation and marketing. The better we can convey our ideas visually, the better chance they have to thrive.
You will learn how the simple power of doodling can unlock greater collaboration.
You will learn how to prototype your ideas using visual storytelling.
